Hello ladies! I've finished my Hot Summer Hearts blocks and will be mailing them out tomorrow! Very happy with how they came out and excited to see what I get back! I've posted a couple of pics of 'em!

I've been busy pulling fabric for my hearts while unpacking and putting up my sewing stuff. I've uploaded a picture of one (shown below) that I'd like to use for one set of hearts. the picture isn't quite as bright as the fabric is in real life - the background of it is a dk reddishp-orange, with the yellow & green swirls. Would this be ok to use with everyone?

Nancy is interested in doing three sets. How about everyone saying how many sets they are thinking of doing?

Nancy, Checking In

Just back from two weeks in Greece, where Hot Summer is the word of the day. Every day it was between 100 and 115 degrees. Dry heat, though. But still heat.

Sherri, I hear what you are saying. Sometimes people drop out. Sometimes there are late additions. I want to keep it at two sets, make six, send five. The swap-out process takes a while, and I easily get confused. If I have to make sure that everyone gets certain things, I know I'll botch it up. I promise to do my best to make sure everyone gets a block from every other participant.

If there are five people who want to do three sets, we can do that. Sing out if you are interested and be sure to sign your name!!!!

Question from Sherri

I was wondering how many we are up to now? If my mind works correctly I think it might be 8? OK, so my question is this...if we are to make one set (must do) and a second set is recommended, that makes 12 blocks in all. How about, since most of you have said you were going to make two sets any way, do that and then just make 4 more and that way everyone gets two blocks from everyone!!! What's 4 more blocks when you've already made 12? Right? Just my 2 cents worth!

Bought My Fabrics

Hi, Everyone. I went to Dakota Cabin Quilts in Hettinger, ND, today and found some wonderful fabrics. I even bought some for this project, but I left most of them in the store for another time. Darn it! Here's what I bought:
